Is There Life After Death?

What Does the Oldest Book in the World Which Has Never Been Proven Wrong (The Bible) Tell Us About Life After Death?

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement."  Hebrews 9:27

"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom the rich man also died and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments...."   Luke 16:22-23

Yes, There Is Life After Death.  Death Does Not End It All!

According to the Bible after death your soul will live throughout eternity in Heaven or Hell.

HeavenJohn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

HellRevelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

If You Were To Die Today,   Where Would You Spend Eternity?

You can have the answer to the question above If you will read these 4 facts from the Word of God.

First, You Are A Sinner

Sin is anything that displeases God.  Sins of commision: lieing, stealing etc.  Sins of ommission: Not loving your neighbor as yourself, not loving your God supremely etc.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous (Perfect, Sinless), no, not one.

Second, You Owe A Penalty For Your Sin.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death...

Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The penalty for our sin is to spend eternity in Hell. Hell is described in the Bible as a place of torment, fire, and eternal seperation from God.  This is the only way you can pay for your own sins.

Third, You Must Accept That Jesus Christ Has Already Paid Your Sin Debt.

Romans 5:6-8 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Fourth, For You To Be Saved From Hell You Must Accept By Faith What Jesus Christ Did For You.

Ninty times in the Gospel of John the Bible says, BELIEVE.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

In this verse, Jesus devides the world into two groups: those who are believing and those who are not believeing on the Son.  Those who believe have everlasting life, and those who believe not shall not see life.

The word BELIEVE means to trust, to depend on, to rely on. To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means that you accept the fact that you are a sinner, that as a sinner you owe the sin penalty, and Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the debt you owe.  But it means going one step further.  It means that you will completely trust Christ to get you to Heaven -- that you will put the matter of your salvation in His hands and depend on Him for everlasting life.

Now the moment you do this, God promises you are not condemned but have everlasting life and that you shall never perish.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not caome into condemnation; but is past from death unto life.

If you will trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, pray this simple prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I deserve to pay my own sin debt, but I do believe that You died for me to pay the debt that I owe.  Today, the best I know how, I trust You as my Saviour.  I will depend on You from this moment on for my salvation.  Now help me to live for You and be a good Christian.  Amen.

If you just accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour we would like to know about it and send you some free literature in the mail.  Please send us a email at victorybc@bellsouth.net
